Having been in the medical profession and working as a cardiologist for many years, treating hundreds of thousands of patients, I have always watched the intrigue and anxiety on the faces of many of my patients and their families when advised cardiac procedures.
Watching their angst, and coupled with my perpetual passion to educate, I started using the social media, over a decade ago, in small steps, by making educational videos, detailed pictures of cardiac procedures and posting them on social media, in addition to writing several health related articles in magazines, with the intention to educate the people and relieve their anxieties. Seeing the positive response and thankfulness of numerous of my own patients and those unknown to me, with a global reach of over 6 million, I was inspired and enthused to do more for the public with a global educational perspective. Thus was born this idea of a ‘Comprehensive and One-stop Website’ of all Cardiac procedures. The work was initiated in the year 2020 when the pandemic began and it took me months of focused work, editing and re-editing for the content to reach its present form.
Being an educational website for the common man, I thought it apt that I dedicate this website, to my dear parents, my dad, Er. K J John and my mom, Dr. Santhamma Mathew, who I grew up watching, exemplary in character and conduct, God-fearing and humane, hard-working professional achievers, always giving importance to values and education in my life. Their own contribution to the people and the society have been immense and so it was rather with ease that they inspired me at a young age, with the desire to be a doctor and to work hard to be one. They gave me unconditional love and have been my strength in life and guiding light in core values of kindness, ethics and honest conduct. It’s because of them, I stand where I am, with immense thanks to The Lord Almighty for His blessings. I am truly grateful to them and I can never thank them enough, ever! My love also goes to my brother Dr. Bimal John who has been my ‘taken for granted’ pillar of strength, always.
There is also one other person, to whom I dedicate this creation, God-send, who was always there, cheering me to every achievement, celebrating me at every milestone, and importantly, holding my hand at every fall, to whom I owe a lot and more than just words! “You will forever remain dearly special!”
Having said as much and much more un-said, I submit this website to my patients and to all of you, the people, in service. I am positive that you will find it useful.
With love,
Dr Binoy John
